Answering the Tough Questions in Post-Acute Care

HIDA recently hosted more than 50 manufacturer, distributor, and provider executives at the 2014 Extended Care Market Conference in Chicago to discuss market shifts and new business opportunities in long-term care. The meeting brought together thought leader experts to discuss a number of hot topics including how current government policies affect post-acute care providers, distribution strategies for reaching long-term care customers, and group purchasing and contracting trends.

If you were unable to attend, I invite you to view a summary (PDF) of these themes and responses to some of the tough questions currently facing post-acute providers, courtesy of provider executives from Nexion Health, Life Care Centers of America, SouthernCare Hospice, and Partners HealthCare. And special thanks to HIDA members McKesson, Medline, and Clock Medical Supply for sharing their insights on the conference’s distributor panel.
